Following a competitive recruitment process, Katie Pettifer has been appointed as the permanent Chief Executive of the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

 

Katie has served as the FSA’s interim Chief Executive since September 2024 and has been the FSA’s Director of Strategy since July 2021.  She joined the FSA from Ofcom where she was Director of Public Policy, and has held Senior Civil Service roles in the Ministry of Justice, the Cabinet Office and the Northern Ireland Office.
